Ahmed Farah is Director/DOP and worked with various European networks and production companies, such as BNN Netherlands, MTV Europe, RTL 8 Netherlands, and Vitaya Belgium.
In 2011, he was the director of photography for ‘The Last Hijack,’ which won an Emmy Award for online production. His work with Riyo Films took him across Africa, contributing to notable projects for Channel4 news and winning awards for documentaries.
He received the One World Media Award for ‘Best Documentary Piece’ in 2013 and was a finalist for the Rory Peck Award.
Ahmed wrote and directed the critically acclaimed ‘Ayaanle’ movie in 2021.
Moreover, Ahmed’s impact extends beyond singular film achievements. He also ventured into the creation of the ‘Arday’ series, which has gained immense popularity within the Somali community worldwide.
